Goodwood Revival Sept 6-8: The family-friendly festival where cars and fashion aren’t the only show in town

Are you a little bit in love with days gone by? Think fashion isn’t what it used to be, cars have lost their classic appeal, and family-friendly fun relies too much on gadgets and gizmos? Then this year’s Goodwood Revival will be right up your street.

Held at Goodwood, the home of racing, on September 6-8, it’s a weekend packed with adventure – from pop-up entertainment to market stalls, vintage fashion and retro retail to autos for all ages, here’s the festival’s pick of family-friendly fun this year.

Put ’em’ up!

Grab your heels and Stetson, pop on some denim and a check shirt, and y’all be ready for the wildest of Wild West adventure, as the Revival main entrance gets a radical makeover. Say hi to the roving sheriffs around Wild Westhampnett, sip something chilling at the saloon bar and get set for line dancing. Say howdy pardner to cowboy capers. This is one for all ages!

The Best Dressed Competition

Or swap that cowboy look for vintage 40s, 50s and 60s fashion, the epitome of Revival style. Embrace your inner elegance, pose for photos, browse the shops and you might just be spotted to take part in the Revival’s fashion competition. The outfits are every inch the experience at Revival … make sure the little’uns join in the fun too, there are family prizes to be won!

Age is no barrier at the new Driving School

And while there’s fun for all at Revival, car-lovers do flock to the event. New for 2024 is the Betty Richmond Driving School, which boasts 1950s style driving simulators to test your skills behind the wheel. Best of all, there’s no age limit (upper or lower) but height restrictions will apply.

All the fun of the fair

From the high rise ferris wheel with stunning views to helter skelters, rides and stalls and fair day fun, this is a mini festival within the festival, and is sure to be a hit for the whole family. Make memories to last a lifetime as you go from ride to ride and dance the night away to live music acts dotted around the site.

All roads lead to Super Sunday

Of course, it wouldn’t be Goodwood Revival without a healthy dose of car fun – don’t miss the high-speed race of the weekend, the RAC TT, and your chance to see some of the most iconic cars from over the decades. Enjoy the thrill of motoring’s heyday eras, all in one space, as you and the family peruse the classics on display then watch them on the track.
