11-11-11 SILENCE
LEWES town centre fell silent today at 11am.
A maroon signalled the start of the 11-11-11 two minutes' silence at the war memorial.
Civic leaders stood before the memorial in tribute joined by shop and office workers and people visiting the town centre.
Traffic was held back by police to enable the ceremony to take place.
