20,000 BIKERS HEAD FOR COAST

More than 20,000 motorcyclists will take to the A21 on Monday, May 1, for the annual May Day Bike Run from Locksbottom, Kent, to Hastings.

The May Day Bike Run has been held for over 40 years, with motorcyclists meeting at the Ace Cafe in Locksbottom, Kent, and heading for Hastings.

The Highways Agency advises the bikers to be aware of roadworks currently taking place on the A21 at Flimwell crossroads at the junction of the A268 and B2087.

The work may cause uneven road surfaces or changes to the road level and the Highways Agency urges motorcyclists to take care through the work.

Drivers using the A21 should be aware of the event and extra traffic on the road.
