It is estimated the branch, run entirely by volunteers, has found new loving homes for nearly 8,000 cats and kittens during that time.

It was due to the enthusiastic efforts of Margaret and Ian Knill-Jones that the branch came into being in March, 1986, and at a recent event for volunteers at Durrington Community Centre, it was fitting that they could both be there to join in the celebrations.
