The Herstmonceux Olde Tyme and Sequence Dance Club celebrated the 50th Anniversary of its formation on June 18.
A special evening was held at The Reid Hall, Boreham Street when 60 members, past and present, enjoyed a superb buffet supper followed by dancing with live music supplied by keyboard player Larry Green.
The club was formed and started in the Function Room of the Woolpack Hotel in Herstmonceux before moving first to The Horseshoe, Windmill Hill.
Then it moved to the Reid Hall in Boreham Street where it has been meeting for the past 20 years.
A cake was cut at the event by two founder members, Joan Gower and Jean Knight, together with members giving a joyful toast to the club’s future.
