A Christmas bundle of joy

The loveliest Christmas present arrived for a Bexhill couple in the shape of their beautiful baby daughter.

Caitlin-Paige was born to Melissa Organ and Mark Fuller, who live in Elmstead Road, on Christmas Day afternoon at 5.17pm weighing 6lb 3oz.

“She was my Christmas present,” said proud mum Melissa this week.

Caitlin-Paige was nine days overdue and so the birth was induced at the Conquest Hospital on Christmas Eve - all of which meant Melissa missed out on Christmas lunch but was then able to enjoy one next day.

Melissa, 22, went into labour at 3am and says the experience was “better” than she expected, with Mark, 28, by her side and ready to cut the cord.

She said: “It was just amazing - you can’t really explain it. It’s the best you can wish for, and a Christmas present as well, it’s brilliant. You go through that and you see this little thing at the end - it’s an absolutely amazing feeling.”

She said to Mark: “Thank you for bring our beautiful girl into the world.”
