Charlotte Attfield, 15, of St. Elmo Road, Worthing, has been accepted at London’s Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, whose former students include the stars Naomi Campbell, Russel Brand, Kelly Brook and Martine McCutcheon.

Charlotte went for her first audition a month ago.

She said: “When I got the phone call I was shocked because I didn’t think I was going to get in.”

“I was the youngest person at the audition so it was quite nerve-racking.

“I was a bit nervous because I was up against 17 and 18-year-olds, but I still felt confident.”

Charlotte has dreamed of going to the Italia Conti since she was ten years old and has now been handed the opportunity of a lifetime.

She currently attends Davison CE High School for Girls and will sit her GCSE exams before heading off to London to begin her training in September next year.
