A Gala Night in Battle for all to remember

Battle held its Gala Night last Thursday (December 10) where the town drew in the crowds for late night shopping and Christmas festivities.

Roy Calthorpe acted as host for the night and explained to the crowds the plans for Battle Museum next season.

Visitors were able to wander round the galleries, do some Christmas shopping and check up on Tina Greene’s progress with the tapestry she is creating for the museum’s 2016 exhibition.

There was music throughout the town centre, with people dressed in mediaeval fancy dress.

Battle Abbey School choir also sang carols on the Abbey Green.
