A grand presentation for cancer
Rye Lions have made a fifth £1000 donation to help fund a new Macmillan Cancer Support Centre for Sussex. The Lions raised almost £600 at their annual brass band concert in January at Beckley and made this up to £1000.
Rye Lions President Terry Cobby presented the cheque to Stef Georgalakis, Sussex Fundraising Manager for Macmillan and said ‘Most of us have relatives and friends who have been touched by cancer and Rye Lions are pleased to make this donation. Rye Lions would also like to thank the people of Rye and the surrounding villages whose support of the Lions functions make our charitable donations possible.
