A-LEVEL RESULTS: Felpham Community College

Felpham Community College has achieved a successful year yet again with a significant increase in A* grades at A-level.

A* grades were achieved across many subjects including maths, biology, chemistry, physics, history and psychology.

Overall students achieved 46 per cent A*-B, which continues to reflect all the hard work put in by the students, the commitment of excellent teachers and support from the governors.

Jules Grindel, assistant headteacher commented that once again the college are very pleased with the results. The number of exam entries was significantly higher in the sixth form at Felpham Community College this year and A-level and BTEC results at the college continue to be impressive across the whole curriculum.

Megan Vandriel achieved outstanding success with four A* grades in biology, chemistry, maths and further maths and will read maths at Bath University. Molly Whyte achieved A* in history and psychology and an A in English literature and secures her place to read English at Southampton University.

Nicholas Smith will go on to read mechanical engineering at Sheffield University having achieved A* in maths and physics and an A in ICT.

Sean Gale continues the success story for Felpham Community College students with his achievement of a distinction in BTEC Health and Social Care and also in BTEC public service.
