A-LEVELS: Barnham’s St Philip Howard picks up record results
This year’s passes were the best in the school’s 60 year history. They surpassed even last year’s previous best.
About one in three students’ exam results were at A* or A grades and almost two-thirds claimed A* to B grades in one or more exam.

Hide AdDave Carter, the school’s head teacher, said: “We are all thrilled with today’s results, not just for those who achieved the top grades but for all those who worked hard and achieved their personal best.
“The attitude of our students has been exceptional and they deserve every success. We are enormously proud of them all.”
A total of 90 per cent of the 60 students at the Elm Grove South school are going on to university and higher education.
Sixth form head Leon Hogan said: “It has been a privilege to work with such dedicated and motivated students. I wish them all well in their future pursuits.
“We look forward now to welcoming our new Year 12 students, many of whom join us from other schools.”
