A21 crash driver convicted

A MOTORIST who crashed his car on the A21 has been banned from the road after being caught in Sussex Police’s Christmas crackdown.

Michael Moignard, 65, was charged with drink-driving after he was found in a crashed car on the A21 at Hurst Green on December 1.

Moignard, of Grove Crescent, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, pleaded guilty and was banned from driving for three years.

He was also made the subject of a 15-month community order and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

The conviction bring the total number of people punished by the courts for drink or drug-driving offences committed during the campaign to 96.
