A22 re-opened following collision between car and child

The A22 at Lower Dicker has been re-opened following a collision between a car and a child.

Police said the incident happened just west of the Boship roundabout at 7.54am this morning (Monday June 2).

Emergency services were called to the scene.

Police said it is not thought that the boy’s injuries are serious at this stage and he is being taken to the Royal Sussex COunty Hospital at Brighton.

There was significant disruption to traffic in the area, but the road has now re-opened.
