The road is shut eastbound after a car rolled earlier today, September 6.
PC Pete May said: “Update from Highways is the tunnel maybe closed for some time for cleaning and repairs.
“Vehicle recovered and police leaving scene shortly.”
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and traffic is extremely heavy around the scene of the crash.
