A27 collision: Motorcyclist seriously hurt after incident in Shoreham

A motorcyclist was left with serious injuries after a collision on the A27 in Shoreham.

A motorbike was involved in a collision with a car on A27 Shoreham Bypass on Saturday afternoon (July 23).

Sussex Police confirmed officers were called around 3.20pm.

“The motorcycle rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries,” a police spokesperson said.

"The road was blocked temporarily to allow emergency services to respond to the collision and for recovery to take place.”

Slow traffic was reported, westbound, at A283 Steyning Road (Steyning turn off).

It followed an incident earlier on Saturday afternoon, involving an overturned horsebox.
