Abbey runs for the Sussex Air Ambulance

Abbey completed the marathon in three hours and 43 minutes in aid of the Sussex Air Ambulance.

A runner who died after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest during the marathon has been named as Sam Harper Brighouse, aged 23.

Sam, who came from London, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital but despite the efforts of staff he could not be revived.

Mourners have been donating money in Sam’s memory to ‘Arms Around The Child’ - the Aids orphan charity he had been running for.
