Accidents cause rush-hour chaos
TWO traffic accidents within an hour of each other caused chaos in Lewes on Monday morning.
At 8.39am a lorry and van collided on the A27 westbound carriageway east of the Kingston roundabout.
There were no injuries but there was heavy congestion until the all-clear was given at 9.05am.
At 9.30am three cars collided in Cuilfail Tunnel, partly closing the road. A woman was taken to hospital with slight head injuries.
The road was fully cleared by 11.45am.
