The nine-hole, par three golf course will also have a makeover soon, which will include a new entrance, new seating, freshened bunkers and an adjusted course layout.

The three full-sized and four compact-sized tennis courts in Norfolk Gardens will also be rebonded and repainted ready for the summer season. Work on the courts is due to take place between March 15-18.

Arun District councillor Terence Chapman, cabinet member for environmental services, said: “This is one of the parks that ISS Lifestyle pledged to invest in and we are very pleased to see the work get underway.

“The refurbishments to the adventure golf course and tennis courts will really revitalise the gardens and greatly improve the standard facilities on offer.

“I am confident that we will get many positive comments on the finished result, and we expect the park to really draw the crowds over the Easter holidays and in the summer season.”
