LOCAL agencies will be on hand at Shakespeare Hall in Newhaven on Tuesday June 21 to give information and advice to mark National Falls Awareness Week (June 20-24).
The event runs from 10am – 12 noon and the theme this year is the contributory role that sight plays in falls amongst older people.
On the day people will be able to take part in exercise taster sessions and get information and advice on vision, exercise and what they can do to reduce their risk of falling.
There will also be free refreshments and a free pedometer for everyone who attends the event in Fort Road.
The event is being hosted by East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, the Meridian Mature Citizens Forum and Wave Leisure.
