Maureen, who retired from her shop Geddes-Muir based at Queens Road, Hastings in January 2015 after 22 years in the Bridal Industry, is inviting all the models, many of whom would have been children at the time they modelled for her, to join in a 20 year Reunion celebration at Bannatyne Spa Hotel, Hastings on Sunday May 22, 12-4pm. “My models literally came from all over the local area,” she said. “From Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, Battle, Rye..The trouble is that there were many who were just children at the time and now they are all grown up I’ve no way of finding them to invite them to join in the reunion celebrations so I hope they will see this story in the Observer and get in touch.”

Maureen’s talents as a designer caught the eye of many a celebrity during her career including Janie Omorongbe who was ‘Rio the Gladiator’ and, for over ten years worked closely with the Observer running the Bride of the Year Competition.
