Air ambulance called to Eastbourne in early hours

The air ambulance was scrambled to an incident in Eastbourne in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).

Sussex Police said officers were called following reports of concern for the welfare of a man in Dryden Walk, off Priory Road, shortly after midnight.

The helicopter could be seen above the Langney area.

Officers and ambulance crews – including the air ambulance – attended and a man was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
