Air ambulance called to Rustington following fall

The air ambulance landed on a golf course in Rustington at the weekend after paramedics were called to the aid of a man who had a serious fall.

Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust said it was called around 2.10pm on Saturday to an ‘accidental injury’ near the golf course.

When landing, a team was met by a critical care paramedic from South East Coast Ambulance Service who was attending to the patient.

According to the trust, the man had injuries to his head, thorax, and abdomen after falling.

He was taken by the trust into the aircraft where he was then flown to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.
