Air ambulance responds to A272 minibus crash

Emergency services were called to the scene of a minibus crash on the A272.

The fire service said crews were called to the collision at Foxhill at 8.32pm on Sunday, February 14.

A spokesman added: “Joint Fire Control mobilised firefighters from Billingshurst and Petworth to the scene, and upon arrival they found a minibus that had left the road.

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service, the air ambulance, and officers from Sussex Police were also in attendance.”

Firefighters made the scene of the incident safe using one hose reel and a dry powder extinguisher, the spokesman said. The last crew booked away from the scene at 9.47pm.

Billingshurst Fire Station said three casualties were rescued from the minibus.
