Aldingbourne Country Centre designs milk store to deter theives

MILK stores have been designed to deter thieves around Bognor Regis.

The lockable containers created by the staff and clients of Aldingbourne Country Centre are a response to the recent spate of pinta thefts.

Michelle McKinley Bell, of centre operator the Aldingbourne Trust, said: “The centre is extremely proud of this unique idea which will help the community keep their milk safe.

“The units are designed to look and be maintained as an aesthetically-pleasing and practical pot plant and storage holder.

“The team at the country centre have ensured they are to the highest standard and come fully painted and ready for customers to display plants and store their milk with the notion the milkman has a key to the unit.”

Staff and clients at the centre, a charity which supports people with disabilities, used their skill, creativity and hard work to design the storage units.

They are on sale at the centre.
