The stunning grounds of Alexandra Park will once again play host to the annual Hastings Town and Country Show over the weekend of June 4-5 and whether it rains or shines organisers say the show must go on.

The great British summer weather may be totally unpredictable but organisers of Hastings annual Town and Country Show, Oakleigh Fairs, promise a fun-filled day for all the family regardless.

A spokesman said: “The show is now in its 8th year and we are really looking forward to returning to Alexandra Park over this new date in June so as not to clash with other fun summer events in the local area.

“The park is just the perfect setting for a family based event. Its just a stroll or a bike ride from the town centre, with the stunning park itself providing the a lovely backdrop to what will be, once again a super weekend, offering the chance for families to relax and enjoy a really good day-out.

“Come rain or shine - and unless we are totally flooded out! - we promise a fun-filled weekend.”

The show is well established on Hastings social calendar attracting between 5-6,000 visitors.

The event presents all day family entertainment, which includes birds of prey, children’s entertainment with Banana Brain, The Dog & Duck Show, Terrier Racing, The Goat Show, historical re-enactment with the Company of 1415, along with around fifty exhibitor stalls which include arts, crafts, gifts, lifestyle and fully licensed bar featuring Real Ale and cider, and food marquees.
