Alfriston

SPRING: A herald to spring accompanied us as we took advantage of a sunny crisp Sunday, sitting above Rathfinny looking over the rows of vines, a lark sang above us reminding me of Meredith's The Lark Ascending. '˜For singing till his heaven fills, '˜Tis love of earth that he instils, And ever winging up and up, Our valley is his golden cup. And he the wine which overflows, to lift us with him as he goes.'
