Alfriston building shortlisted for award

Rathfinny Winery, in Alfriston has been shortlisted for an award.

The building by architect Designcubed and designer Martin Swatton Design is one of 18 buildings in the South East shortlisted for the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) South East 2014 Awards. There were 40 buildings entered in the region, which covers Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

All shortlisted buildings will be assessed by a regional jury, with the winners of the RIBA South East 2014 Awards announced on the evening of May 8 at Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands, Surrey.

Regional winners will also be considered for a highly-coveted RIBA National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, which will be announced in June.
