All aboard for charity Train Walk

THE BEXHILL Branch of The National Autistic Society (NAS) is inviting families to get on board and join them in a Thomas & Friendsâ„¢ themed Train Walk to raise vital funds for the charity.

The one mile walk along Bexhill Seafront takes place on the 29th May, meeting at the Egerton Park Children's Centre at 2pm for check in. The Fat Controller will then lead the way along the seafront to the Sailing Club at 2.30pm.

Based upon the classic Thomas & Friends books and characters, the Train Walk sees local families and friends walk together in a long train to help raise funds for local people affected by autism.

Money raised will go towards providing family activities during the school holidays, hiring venues exclusively when possible.

Sarah Fletton, NAS Bexhill Branch Officer, said:

"Our Train Walk is going to be a fantastic day out for all the family. As well as the walk itself, there will also be a children's fancy dress competition, judged by the Fat Controller.

"We hope to see as many people as possible having fun and raising vital funds for our branch. Autism is a serious, lifelong and disabling condition, but the right support at the right time can make an enormous difference to people's lives."
