All fired up to sniff out the root of blazes
A SNIFFER dog has joined West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to ensure Round the Clock fire investigation cover.
Watch manager Baz Wood and golden labrador Hattie will be an important weapon in the emergency service's fight against arsonists.
They are joining similar teams in East Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey, who have until now worked independently with their dogs.
Bas, who is based at Horsham Fire Station, said: "That meant there were times when cover hasn't been perfect."
