All hands to the pump in Rye
Members of Rye Conservation Society rolled up their sleeves to help improve the appearance of the overgrown water pump in Wish Ward.
Rae Festing and Judith O’Connor joined John Pope to clear up the tall weeds in front of the ancient water cistern which has recently been repaired by Rother District Council.
John said: “Rother have now repointed the cistern and I have to say they have done a very good job.”
