All Saints becomes a medley of flower colour

Always fresh, always inventive, All Saints' Church flower festival never fails to engage, entertain and delight.

This year's three-day event was complemented by a live concert by Sussex Brass.

As usual, everyone involved at All Saints' - from Little Angels playgroup, school pupils and Holy Kids to the Vicar, the Rev Trevor Buxton - had contributed displays.

This year's theme, The Musicals, offered plenty of scope. This year's programme offered improved information.

One of the delights of attending flower festivals is to observe children's reactions.

"The Lion King!" chorused young voices as a party from All Saint's School passed by.

Blood red roses set off a display of military vehicle in Pat Cooper's South Pacific.

The Jolly Roger flew from the prow of mother-and-daughter team Anna and Sue Korth's vessel as the Pirates Of Penzance sailed over the organ console or a sea of gypsophila, iris and stocks.

Festival proceeds will be shared between the church and St Michael's Hospice.
