LITTLEHAMPTON is on the verge of the biggest housebuilding boom this century, with plans for 2,400 homes about to be delivered.

LITTLEHAMPTON is on the verge of the biggest housebuilding boom this century, with plans for 2,400 homes about to be delivered.

Developers are expected to submit their proposals for 600 homes at Courtwick to Arun District Council next month, and before the end of the year plans for the massive scheme for a further 1,800 at North Littlehampton will follow.

And with the Littlehampton Academy redevelopment expected to be agreed by the county council shortly, a new link road in the pipeline, possibly including the long-awaited Lyminster bypass, the £12m flood defence scheme for the River Arun and a new shopping development, the town is facing unprecedented changes.
