Wave Leisure said it was delighted with the amazing turnout and fantastic weather at Seaford Family Fun Day.
It was the 11th year that the event had been held, attracting more than 2,000 people to Downs Leisure Centre in Sutton Road.
Activities were on offer for everyone, from grandparents to children, at the Fun Day on Sunday July 20.
It was organised and co-hosted by Seaford Town Council and Wave Leisure Trust.
Seahaven FM compered the day and more than 30 local community stalls benefited from engaging with the local community.
Highlights of the day included free cycle tuning from Cycle Seahaven, pirates and princesses fancy dress competition and children’s races.
There was also a Zumba taster, free skating tuition and kurling, as well as live acts such as Shannon and the Archway Choir.
Visitors could watch demonstrations of Step, Zumba, Little Ninjas, Studio In-Line line dancing, children’s disco and street dance.
There was also a display by Wave Leisure’s trampoline and gymnastics clubs.
The event was supported by sponsors including Seaford Chamber of Commerce.
Downs Leisure Centre manager Fred Furner said: “The day was really well attended.
“There were lots of activities for people to participate in, and lots of great demonstrations for people to see.”
Ben King from Seaford Town Council said: “We are really pleased to be involved again in the 11th Fun Day.
“It demonstrates that organisations can successfully work together to get people in the local community as active as possible.”
