Amber asks villagers forfeedback

MP Amber Rudd has sent out a survey to residents in Fairlight, Guestling, Pett and Three Oaks asking them what issues affect the area.

The MP, who held a recent surgery at Three Oaks Village Hall, wants views on protection of the countryside, road maintenance, fuel prices and hospital services.

She also asks residents to rate both Rother and East Sussex County Councils on a scale of one to five.

Amber commented: “Helping constituents resolve problems is an important part of what an MP does.

“All of my constituents are welcome to attend my surgeries and discuss a specific issue and concern.

“If you need me to look into something urgently then my office is always pleased to do what they can to help.”

Amber holds an annual report-back at Rye Town Hall.

She is currently supporting plans to develop land next to Rye Wharf which could help regenerate the area and create hundreds of new jobs.

Amber says she is also backing Rye’s fishing fleet by helping the National Under 10 Metre Fishermen’s Association set up its Producer Organisation which will represent the under 10 metre industry.

Amber says she is working for Rye rail users and commented: “I have lobbied Government hard on a rail fare increase cap as I know how important that is for commuters in my constituency.

Amber recently became involved after the Fairlight and Pett area was hit by shockwaves from explosions at Lydd Ranges.

She said: “My office contacted them and got them to bring about an end to the explosions.
