Ambulance overturns in Pulborough

An ambulance was involved in a crash in Pulborough this evening (Wednesday, September 1).

A29 Stane Street was closed both ways, from Chestnut Walk to Riverside, after the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) vehicle overturned shortly after 7pm.

Firefighters from Petworth and Billingshurst have assisted at the scene.

Petworth Fire Station confirmed that no one has been seriously injured.

A SECAmb spokesperson said: “We can confirm that an ambulance was involved in a collision with another vehicle shortly after 7pm today in London Road, Pulborough.

"The ambulance was responding to a call at the time of the incident and was not transporting any patients.

"Further ambulance crews attended to assess those involved but thankfully no one required further hospital treatment.”
