‘Angela’ sought over assault

POLICE are appealing for a woman to come forward after a row at a Battle pub escalated into an assault at a nearby house.

An argument broke out between two women at the Chequers on the evening of Sunday November 11.

The situation calmed down, but shortly afterwards it continued at one of the women’s homes and an assault occurred.

The 44-year-old woman who called police suffered slight injuries, including a cut to her cheek.

Police are now looking for the other woman involved in the incident, who is believed to be called Angela.

She is described as white, aged between 40 and 50, 5’2” tall, of plump build, with short straight cropped hair.

PC Tess Warren, from Hastings Response Investigation Team, said: “We are keeping an open mind about this incident, and are aware that there are always two sides to every story.

“We would very much like to speak to Angela so she can give her version of events.

“We would ask Angela, or anyone who knows her, to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 0034 of November 12.”
