Angry Crowborough homeowner gets revenge on commuter using her driveway

An angry Crowborough homeowner who spent a decade putting up with commuters parking in her driveway decided to take action by blocking a car in - with a tonne of gravel.

Julie Geue, 48, was due to have the drive of her house, opposite the train station in Farningham Road, gravelled when a man parked in front of her house, meaning the work could not be done.

Angry at the fact she would have send the builders away, she asked them to dump the tonne of gravel meant for the drive behind the car.

She even posted a note, attached to a trowel left in the gravel, which said: “Happy digging, at least it’s not raining.”

It was blocked in for two days before the owner eventually managed to move it.

Julie took to Facebook to share her actions, in a post that was then shared more than 100 times.

In the post, she explained that the driver, who returned to his car after work, claimed he had meant to park at a friend’s house, but got confused.

However, she said she had endured too many obnoxious commuters to be concerned about whether his excuse was genuine.

She said: “The offender in this case claims to have made a genuine error and got confused about which house he should be parking in front of.

“Unfortunately, after over ten years of putting up with lazy, obnoxious and rude, often threatening, people doing the this I no longer care if it’s a genuine mistake or not.”
