An association between two of Sussex’s most iconic tipples stretching back four decades will be toasted next month.

When the Breaky Bottom Vineyard at Rodmell produced its first bottles of wine it made perfect sense to sell them through the Harveys Brewery Shop in Lewes.

Harveys became the first stockist of Breaky Bottom wine and is proud to be the vineyard’s longest-standing retailer – this partnership has now been going strong for 40 years.

As a special 40th anniversary celebration, the brewery and the vineyard are being opened for one day only as part of the ‘Harveys and Breaky Bottom Joint Tour’.

Meeting at Harveys Brewery, the guests will visit Breaky Bottom vineyard in the morning (transport is provided via mini-bus) for a vineyard tour, light lunch and tasting before returning to the brewery in the afternoon for a second tour and tasting.

It’s a great opportunity to learn more about a thriving English vineyard which is at the forefront of a booming industry and to discover the history, passion and complex processes which go into making that perfect pint.

The celebration is taking place on Saturday, August 30, from 11am until 4pm. The cost is £30 per person – visit the Harveys Brewery Shop to secure places.
