Annual meeting date set for Littlehampton Civic Society

The event will take place at the New Millennium Chamber, in Manor House, Church Street, Littlehampton, from 7pm.

It will feature a guest speaker from the National Flood Forum, who will discuss the charity’s mission to improve flood defences in the area.

In recent months, the Littlehampton Civic Society has spearheaded a campaign to save the Windmill Entertainment Centre’s cinema facility.

Members from the group rallied around 5,000 people behind the society’s effort to urge councillors to discuss whether or not Arun District Council could provide crucial funding for new digital projectors to be used at the site.

This petition is set to be debated during the authority’s next full council meeting, on May 15 at the Arun Civic Centre, in Maltravers Road, Littlehampton.
