Another crash blocks problem lights

TRAFFIC jams grid-locked the area after the London Road-King Offa Way-Little Common Road traffic lights were the scene of yet another crash.

Firefighters, police and paramedics converged on the junction after a Renault Modus and a lorry were in collision shortly after noon today.

Firefighters stood by to cut the roof off the Renault if necessary to give paramedics access to the occupants but the driver and front seat passenger were able to scramble clear.

The driver was treated for cuts to the head.

The lorry driver was unhurt.

The junction has become notorious for the number of collisions there.
