Another deliberate fire in Billingshurst

Billingshurst Fire Station said on Twitter: “Crews have returned from another deliberate fire, this time involving pallets that have damaged a school playing field.

“Antisocial fire starting not only costs time and money to repair, but also means we are unavailable for possible life threatening emergencies elsewhere.”

Crews responded to the fire just after 11pm.

Last month, firefighters battled a deliberate fire in a field off Parbrook in Billingshurst.
