TEACHERS at Tideway School in Newhaven were delighted with the performances from its students in their GCSES.
The school said it was another great year for pupils who were becoming highly adept at hitting and exceeding targets.
There was another ten per cent increase in the number who achieved five good GCSEs to 73 per cent (up a phenomenal 23 per cent in three years) and almost three times the number of A* grades compared to last year.
Dan Green achieved eight A* grades and was among a group of students who achieved a collection of top grades.
Head teacher Rob Corbett said: “I would like to congratulate our students of all abilities who have worked so hard to make their GCSEs results a success.
“I am grateful for the enduring hard work and dedication of all my staff who are fully focused on getting the best for all of our students.”
