Antique horse-drawn ploughs stolen

FOUR antique horse-drawn ploughs have been stolen from Hurst Green.

The ploughs, all of which are described as old and rusty and one with a tractor style seat, are thought to have been stolen from a farm in London Road between the evening of Friday April 12 and 9am on Friday April 26.

Three of them are thought to be worth in the region of £75 with the fourth being worth £150 if bought by a specialist.

PC Jayne Cleverley, of Battle Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I’d like to urge the agricultural community to keep their eyes open for these ploughs.

“If you are offered one for sale please contact police immediately on 101 quoting serial 360 of 30/04 or alternatively leave an anonymous message with the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 111 555.”
