Appeal after attempted burglary at warden assisted flats in Seaford

Sussex Police are appealing for information after an attempted burglary at Hometye House, in Clermont Road, Seaford at around 7pm on Thursday August 15.

The suspect ran off after he was disturbed trying to steal a charity collection box that was attached to a display stand in the communal area of the warden assisted flats.

Police said he was either heavily tanned or dark skinned, aged 17 to 18, with black hair and was wearing a black or dark blue coloured top and navy blue and white Bermuda style shorts.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins from Seaford Neighbourhood Police Team said: “Anyone with any information or who may have seen the suspect is asked to call 101 quoting serial 1323 of 15/8 or alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
