At about 9.15am on Saturday April 16, a silver Mercedes saloon was stopped in Princes Road, Eastbourne, near to the Church of Christ The King, by a black Astra containing three men, which pulled in front of it.

The Astra driver got out and was verbally abusive and physically aggressive towards the Mercedes driver, punching the driver’s window several times before both cars drove off.

PC Jason Taylor said, “The cars were stationary at that point for several minutes and we believe passing drivers would have seen what was happening. If you can help please contact us via [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 329 of 16/04.

“You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 (www.crimestoppers-org.uk)”

Three local men aged 25, 27, and 29, were arrested on suspicion of threatening behaviour and after being interviewed were released on police bail until May 22 while enquiries continue.
