An appeal has been launched to raise money for vital repairs to the 140-year-old Holy Trinity Church in High Hurstwood.
Treasurer John Middleton points out: “The clock tower cost £55,000, the parapet repairs cost £2,500 and the final bill for Bell Cote will be more than £20,000.” Next in line for repair is the dome ceiling of the apse in blue, green and gold. John said: “It will be a job for experts and it will undoubtedly be expensive.”
He asks, if people already contribute to Holy Trinity, could they think about giving more or if they do not, then could they consider a regular donation. Contact : 01892 661507.
