Arctic theme to young art on promenade

Young artists will get their chance to create penguins on the promenade in Bognor Regis this weekend.

The four to 19-year-olds can use their imagination along the seafront on Sunday.

They can draw their masterpieces from 2pm-4pm by the bandstand as part of a national competition being run through Girlguiding Bognor Regis west division.

The organisation is hosting the contest on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. This year's theme is the Arctic and Antarctic. The winner will be entered into a national final where the best entries will be showcased in an exhibition.

Angela Purser, Girlguiding's district commissioner, said: 'We are very excited to be taking part in this fantastic art competition and creating pictures of the Arctic and Antarctic, and helping fundraise for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.'
