HIGHWAYS WORK: East Sussex Highways will be carrying out drainage and road repairs on Wilbees Road close to Old Victorian Farm on Monday. This work will take up to three days to complete however, if the weather is bad there may be a delay in starting the work. If the date changes the advanced warning signs on the road will be used to alert road users. The work itself will take place between 7am and 5pm over the three days, during which time Wilbees Road will be closed. Access should be possible but road users may have to take the diversion route on occasion. PARISH COUNCIL: On Thursday, in Upper Dicker Village Hall, starting at 7.30pm there will be a meeting of Arlington Parish Council. Further details are available on the Parish website http://arlingtonparish.org.uk

MOBILE LIBRARY: On Friday, February 19, the Mobile Library will call at Arlington Village Hall from 2.20pm to 2.45pm and at Berwick Village Hall from 2.55pm to 3.10pm.

RESIDENT PASS: Michelham Priory is offering residents of Upper Dicker or Arlington the opportunity of a Resident Pass for the 2016 season. The pass will only be issued to residents of Upper Dicker or Arlington who visit the Priory between February 13 and March 1. The following conditions apply; only one pass per household, proof of address must be shown in order to receive a pass (utility bill, driving licence etc.), the pass can only be used by the two adults whose signature appears on the card, and they will be asked to sign in with each use.

The pass entitles the holder to free entrance for the two adults and four children to Michelham Priory during normal opening hours throughout the 2016 season, including event days. The pass allows free admission to the Priory and grounds only. Any additional chargeable activities must be paid for at the normal rate. The pass cannot be used for outdoor theatre performances or any other ticketed event.

BERWICK PARISH COUNCIL: The next full Berwick Parish Council meeting will take place on Tuesday March 29 starting at 7pm in Berwick Village Hall. There will be two meetings that night starting with the full council meeting and ending with the annual Berwick Parish meeting. Refreshments will be served on the night and an agenda will be issued nearer the time on the parish website at: http://berwickparishcouncil.org/ Members of the public and the press are welcome to attend both meetings.
