Armed assault in Worthing town centre

A group of five people were seen with weapons in the Montague Street area between 7pm and 8pm last night.

A street robbery in Liverpool Gardens and an assault in Montague Street took place during this time. The incidents were unprovoked and the victims were not linked.

Sargeant Jo Webb described the incident as ‘unusual’.
