Armed officers called to '˜domestic disturbance'

Sussex Police were called to a Brighton home yesterday afternoon (July 30) after reports of a '˜domestic disturbance' involving a firearm.

Armed officers were sent out to Egginton Road, Brighton, at 4.33pm.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Due to the possibility of a firearm being involved armed officers attended and a 48-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of assault.

“He was later released on conditional bail until Monday, August 27.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the exact circumstances.”
